About Maylynn

I have been working with children and adolescents as a high-impact math and literacy tutor since 2017. During the Covid-19 pandemic I led a project with my peers to offer free *virtual* tutoring sessions in Math and Literacy/Phonetics. It was called Equity Learning and served over 50 students in Kindergarten through Grade 6, and I also worked with first and second year high school students in Mathematics and Writing heavy courses. I was further trained as a high-impact Mathematics and Literacy tutor at the George Washington University. Here, I worked with students from Washington, D. C. in grades 6-8, built relationships and trust among students, educators, and parents which supported academic success. I have completed an Education Technology Research Project on STEM learning, and AI, which I can share. As an undergraduate at a women's college studying Engineering, education equity is at the core of my values. I can provide parent, teacher, student, and supervisor recommendations.
