After teaching 1st grade in the public school setting for 5 years, I decided to go back to school to pursue a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. I currently work as a school librarian in a public school that serves students in grades K-2. I am seeking summer work opportunities that will allow me to use my education background while sharing my passions for teaching, reading and working with children. As an educator, I see the importance of maintaining academic engagement over the summer months to avoid the academic slide and ensure that children are prepared for the next school year.
