About Maya

Hello! My name is Maya, and I'm a rising senior at Syracuse University, where I'm majoring in Psychology and Family Studies with a focus on child development. I plan to pursue a master's degree in the near future and ultimately become a certified Child Psychologist. I have several years of hands-on childcare experience. Over the past five years, I've worked as a babysitter for children ranging in age from 7 months to 10 years and cared for up to two children at a time. In addition, I spent two years as a camp counselor for children with special needs. Through this role, I was able to work with children with a wide range of mental and physical disabilities. I'm confident in my ability to support and adapt to each child's unique needs, as well as establishing the vital connection of mutual trust and understanding. I truly adore working with children and am passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for them to grow and thrive.
