About Maya

Hello! my name is Maya. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant 7 months ago because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of older adults and their pets and pay my way through university. If I were to describe myself, I would say that I'm dynamic, with a mixed personality. As someone who has lived in Santa Barbara but was born and raised in Los Angeles, I have a pleasant but idealistic view of the world. I enjoy caring for seniors because hearing about their lives help me paint a picture of how they want to be cared for and what I can expect when working with them in intimate settings such as their homes or private rooms in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities. I also love animals so being paid to spend more time with them is ideal! I have taken care of residents with animals before with joy! I am pleased to meet you and I hope you'll give me a chance to prove my expertise when it comes to patient care, companionship and much more!
