About Maya

Hi there! I'm Maya and I am a nanny as well as a labor and postpartum doula. I currently work full time with a two and 4-year-old, but I also work regularly sitting with several families with children aged eight months to 7 years old. I also work in my church's nursery on Sundays and sometimes Wednesday nights. I've got experience with elementary aged children from when I worked in the public school system in special education. I've worked with many different family dynamics and worked lots of different hours. My doula work (I was trained by DONA) has led me to work as a night nanny several times and I worked with babies until I could get them sleeping through the night. I have worked with plenty of children and I have never found one I don't get along with. I have a passion for working with children and I don't get tired of it. I prefer gentle parenting and no/minimal screen approach, but it is of course up to the parents.
