I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential through personalized support. I just retired from a 25+ year career in education where I taught PreK to grade 12. I've tutored students in English and study skills across elementary, middle, and high school levels. I hold a degree in English education and a certificate in Early Childhood and believe every student can succeed in an engaging, patient environment. I adapt my teaching by observing initial interactions with new material and varying my strategies, like using visual aids and hands-on activities. I keep students motivated by connecting topics to their interests, celebrating successes, and encouraging curiosity. Communication is essential; I prioritize understanding student needs and providing regular updates. The most rewarding aspect is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and growing confidence. I am CPR trained and First Aid certified. I would love to help you or your student reach their goals!
