About Maureen

Hello! I am a performing free-lance musician by trade (vocal and guitar), and also have extensive experience working creatively with children through both the Music Together program out of Princeton, and as a class designer and teacher with the early Cool School program out of the Count Basie Theater. Many years prior, I visited schools with the Children's Theater group Synergy throughout Monmouth County, producing musical plays and employing creative dramatics techniques with students grades K - 8th. As a substitute teacher for grades pre-k to middle school, I've discovered I have a good rapport with young people in all kinds of problem-solving and in fostering their learning potential. Being the second-oldest in a family of seven, I was "second mommy" to the last four, and so am very comfortable with children from infancy on. Houseplant care is a bonus! I am currently looking to fill some free hours on an as-needed basis, and have excellent references. Thank you, Maureen
