Hi! I'm Matt, and I'm passionate about helping students enjoy learning and developing g growth mindsets. With over a decade of experience as a High School Social Studies teacher and more than 10 years as a coach, I know how to connect with students of all personality types. I don't just teach content; I build confidence and help students develop the skills they need to succeed long-term. What I bring to our sessions: Subject Expertise: Specialist in Social Studies, History, and Writing, with a knack for making complex topics relatable and fun. Coaching Mentality: I use my coaching background to motivate students, helping them overcome "academic blocks" with a cueing a growth mindset. Study Skills & Organization: I help students manage their "mental load," ensuring homework is finished and they are prepared for upcoming exams. Warm & Supportive Environment: I create a safe space where it's okay to ask questions and be yourself.
