I have 25 years of experience. I love working with children. I specialize in Math, Reading and Writing. I have written math curriculum for school districts. I have developed a unique and fun approach to understanding numbers! I love encouraging creativity! I work as an accountability coach, helping students learn organizational and time management techniques. I encourage students to be their own advocate, teaching them to ask questions and send messages with confidence and grace. I also require personal accountability and do not accept excuses. I prefer paper and pencil to technology. I base my teaching practice on Bloom's taxonomy, encouraging students to evaluate and synthesize while learning. I am also certified in Art and Art History. I enjoy all types of art, crafts and cooking. I have experience teaching painting and drawing to both children and adults. I come to your home. I will bring all the materials for lessons. I can also assist in homework and test corrections.
