About Mary

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. As a certified teacher with experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels, I specialize in English, history, and the arts. I believe that true academic growth stems from building confidence rather than rote memorization. By actively listening to how you engage with new material, I tailor my approach to your unique needs. I keep lessons dynamic by connecting complex concepts to your personal interests and celebrating every small victory along the way. I prioritize open communication with both students and parents to foster a collaborative and supportive environment. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or online, I am dedicated to making learning an inspiring journey. Seeing your confidence flourish as you master new skills is what makes this work so rewarding for me.
