About Mary

I love kids and animals. I started working with children, as a camp counselor, in high school. After graduating high school, I began working on my degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education. While working on my bachelor's degree I was a Special Education paraprofessional in a 1st grade MID classroom. I graduated with my bachelors degree from Georgia State University. My first year teaching I was a Special Education teacher in an interrelated 4th grade classroom. I am currently employed by Dekalb County Schools and plan on returning in the fall. Throughout the summer I will be working on my Master's degree in Special Education. I have experience with all ages (infant to 13 years old). I love entertaining children with enriching activities, while also keeping them safe and taking care of responsibilities. I am looking for a summer job until I begin teaching again in the fall.
