About Lakayla

I'm Lakayla, an experienced and passionate educator with a background in both early childhood and middle school teaching. Most recently, I taught 6th grade math and science at Summerour Middle School in Gwinnett County Public Schools, where I designed engaging lesson plans, tracked student progress, and maintained a structured, supportive classroom environment. Before that, I worked as a Preschool Teacher at Kids R Kids Crabapple in Alpharetta, GA, where I led a classroom of 3- to 4-year-olds. I focused on building routines that supported early development, encouraged creativity, and prepared students for the next stages of learning. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from Kennesaw State University, which have helped shape my approach to teaching with empathy, structure, and care. I love helping young learners grow, and as a nanny, I bring flexibility, consistency, and a calm, encouraging presence into every home I enter.
