About Mary

Hi I'm Mary! I've been working in childcare for more than half my life. While pursuing a career in the arts, I worked in childcare as well as retail and food service. Most recently I've been working as a caretaker for family, first my mom and then my grandpa. My personality is warm, positive, and understanding. I like working with kids because it's healing, the positivity and imagination that children access so easily and apply to the world Working with a family long term and seeing the kids grow up always amazes me. I'm looking for a job that I enjoy doing and that I'm valued for the help I provide. I started working with kids when I was 12 as a mother's helper. By 13 I was babysitting in my neighborhood and in HS I became a camp counselor in the summer and afterschool nanny during the year. In my spare time, I like to read, craft, travel, explore the city. One thing you should know about me is I voted for Kamala. My skills include empathy, creativity, and encouragement.
