About Mary

I am a middle school English teacher. Children and learning are my passion. I enjoy how fun and creative children are and fostering their own belief in themselves. I would describe my personality as kind, easy going, and caring. I started working with kids at the age of 14. Helping in the children's room at my church and later teaching Sunday school in college. In graduate school I became a permanent sub for a local elementary school and knew then that teaching was where I belonged. I spent a few years after graduate school working at the college level, but followed my heart back to the classroom! In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with my fiancé and our two pups. I enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants. I would love to see how my skills align with what you are looking for in child care!
