About Mary Ellen

In between employment as an Admissions counselor, Pharmaceutical representative and community college special needs counselor and teacher, I worked as a full-time paraprofessional in two special needs classrooms. I have had rich and rewarding experiences caring for school-age children in their homes as a part-time and full-time nanny, taking responsibility of driving to activities, meal prep, caring for family pets and homes. I own my own home so know the responsibilities involved in house-sitting as well. I then have been caring for friends and family through many health challenges and five hospice experiences. I also have been a volunteer and paid respite care provider for a person with ALS and someone with cardiovascular dementia. I now have the time and flexibility to be available to families; whether senior care, childcare or pet care again on your schedule. I find it very rewarding being a companion and advocate for adults, school-age children and pets.
