About Jamie

I have over 8 years experience working with high risk adults with disabilities in both a residential and vocational day program setting. I have over 10 years experience working with children who were severely multiple handicapped, medically fragile, and developmentally disabled in a school setting. I am currently working as a special needs nanny. I have 2 years experience working with a senior as their personal caregiver and then as their end of life caregiver supporting them and family as they passed. I hold two associates degrees one as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor with a diploma and Behavioral Health and the other as an advanced medical assistant. I am currently halfway through my training to become an End of Life Doula. I am versed in working with cognitive, visual, hearing, behavioral, and mobility issues. I have experience in feeding, changing, positioning, wheelchair transfers, feeding tubs and braces or AFOs. I have experience bathing, lifting clients, and dressing.
