About Marty

People generally find me to be friendly, helpful, calm & supportive. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy giving back to the generations before. I enjoy being able to improve their quality of life. I like to hike, sing & do theater improv. I'm good at is helping people talk about and deal with unpleasant circumstances. I'm smart & nerdy so I'm generally good with neurodiverse folks. I'm good at keeping people engaged in conversation particularly smart folx who are bored. I enjoy making most of my clients laugh. My skills include listening, anatomy & body mechanics, nutrition & preventing conflict, I worked for two years in a hospital and trained as a medical interpreter. I'm very comfortable, friendly & assertive in hospital/care facility settings. I have experience in social services including homeless shelters and running support groups. I am used to helping wheel chair users in & out of the car & keeping the ride less bumpy. No transfers or heavy lifting, sorry.
