About Mertie

I'd describe myself as mature, compassionate, appreciative, and good-natured. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy making their lives easier and fulfilling. My skills include over 20 years of elder care experience in multiple settings, including hands-on care as well as the overview and management of client care plans. I have extensive experience as a liaison with medical providers and have managed medications and care/testing schedules. My communication with elders is compassionate, intuitive, and patient and I have extensive experience communicating with people with dementia. I'm successful in providing a safe, interesting and fun environment. I have strong organizational and research skills and an abundance of patience and true concern.
