About Marlene

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. With 10 years of experience, I specialize in helping elementary students master Math, English, and essential study skills. I believe in fostering a love for learning by building confidence rather than relying on rote memorization. I adapt to your child's needs by actively listening and varying my strategies, whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or collaborative discussions. When concepts feel challenging, I break them into manageable steps and celebrate every small success to maintain momentum. I prioritize open communication with families to ensure we remain a unified team in your child's progress. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student finally masters a difficult skill is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to building a supportive, engaging partnership that helps your child thrive.
