Hello! My name is Marissa and I am 29 years old. I have loved working with children for many years. When I was 12 I started my own "Mother's Helper" business. Once I was old enough to watch kids while their parents were gone, I became the neighborhood sitter! I also worked at a local after school art program for elementary aged children. In addition, I've worked at a children's summer art camp for a few summers. I really enjoy spending time with kids and getting to know their unique and individualistic personalities. I would love the opportunity to work with families in my area! I am a hard worker that is very dedicated to any task that I am met with, which I will always address with compassion and kindness. Marissa is incredibly caring, warm, and thoughtful - my girls instantly connected with her when she took care of them! She snuggled and read books with my toddler, played tag with my preschooler, and got both girls engaged in so many activities, from the sandbox to the swing set - keeping them safe and happy. Marissa prepared a delicious and healthy meal for the girls in the afternoon, and then skillfully put my toddler down for a nap. She is extremely patient even with challenging behavior, helping my preschooler through hard moments when she's tired or grumpy. Marissa comes right on time, asks thoughtful questions, and checks in at the end of the day with great updates about the girls activities. She also makes sure everything is picked up, which is so helpful! She also actively seeks feedback to meet a family's needs - she is invested in what she does and truly cares about children. She is a gift for any child or family!
