About Marissa

I believe childhood should be filled with creativity, curiosity, and adventure! My approach to childcare is a little Mary Poppins: kind but firm, with plenty of fun along the way. As a professional personal chef and children's cooking instructor, I love introducing children to healthy foods through hands-on cooking, sensory activities, and creative learning. From arts and crafts and themed days to games, park adventures, and library visits, I keep children engaged, active, and nurtured. I'm experienced caring for infants through teenagers, including children with special needs. As the oldest of seven, caring for children has always come naturally to me! I've completed Safe Sitter training, child/infant CPR, and basic First Aid training. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and enriching environment where children feel heard, encouraged, and confident to explore the world around them. I believe in fostering independence, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning!
