About Marissa

I'm often described as reliable, dedicated, fun, and compassionate. I like working with kids because they are full of curiosity about the world, creative, and bring insight to each day. I'm looking for roles that enable mutual trust & respect and have clear communication of needs or expectations. I first began babysitting at 12 years old and have been teaching dance since I was 15 years old. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and worked in various psychiatric, mental health, and behavioral settings through my career. I taught child development at a collegiate level, apply evidence-based intervention/nervous system regulation, and always show up for kids with my best self & energy because I believe they deserve that from us. I've spent my whole life working with neurodivergence, disabilities, and other adaptive needs as well. I am passionate about multicultural perspectives, trauma-informed, and committed to regulated presence & attunement to children's inner world.
