Full-time Nanny available Please let me introduce myself -- my name is Marilyn. I am a dedicated family assistant with 12 years of professional nanny experience. I specialize in caring for children of all ages. I keep in contact with all of my former charges and have maintained a wonderful bond with each of them. We had a wonderful experience with Marilyn. She was punctual and arrived right on time, which we really appreciated. Our 2-year-old took to her immediately - she has such a warm, friendly personality that put both our child and us at ease.

What impressed us most was how engaged she was during playtime. She kept our toddler entertained and active throughout the evening, and it was clear she genuinely enjoys working with young children. Our little one was happy and well-cared for, and we felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care. We would definitely hire her again and recommend her to other families with young children.

Marilyn is a great nanny for our 4 month old and toddler. She's  been working evenings with us and was great. She bonded quickly and the children love memories with her. She's like an extension of our family. She does the basic diapering,feeding,tummy time,stroller walks and potty training for our toddler. She goes above and beyond with helpful recommendations on books,clothing,formula and toys. She is definitely a huge help. Also cooks and is healthy and stays active I like her knowledge about kids activities in the Bay area. She is very patient and calm and knows how to handle melt downs. She has excellent communication skills, is mature and professional. I highly recommend her. 

TLDR but an important review if you are looking to hire an infant nanny BEWARE! I write this on the night Marilyn quit with absolutely zero indication & I am left with no childcare options tomorrow. I would have given a single star but the reason for two stars is that Marilyn did help me pack my stuff for moving & was quick with laundry, folding clothes, she is a good family assistant. We hired Marilyn as a nanny for our infant who was 4 months old at the time and she did say she had experience with infants. We quickly learned that she has no major experience with such young babies, so we had to transfer knowledge that we feel like a lot of nannies know & help the parents with (If baby is in distress nanny is supposed to help instead of getting scared or nap training techniques, pretty basic stuff). We were okay with all those just because of convenience, there were a lot of couple incidents which eroded our trust & probably we started managing more. I walked in one day with my 5 month old infant with chocolate sauce all over his Tshirt, we don't have chocolate at home & Marilyn always talks about Vegan chocolate sauce she likes, so adding those things its pretty obvious my immobile infant cannot go put chocolate sauce on his t-shirt right after being held by Marilyn. Chocolate was not the problem, lying is, till date doesn't want to admit where the chocolate came from. Also, we have noticed (me & mom) that toys that goes into infant's mouth are not wiped thoroughly , when we pointed that out, Marilyn snapped, called my mom incompetent, said its a toxic family dynamic & just QUIT. Its unacceptable that someone uses language like that & also doesn't want to admit to their mistakes & grow.

Marilyn was an absolutely wonderful babysitter and took such good care of my 2.5 year old son during our week in Palo Alto. She meshed well with his energy, taking him on walks, activities, and educational games. Her energy was also calm enough to make him feel safe, eating and napping with no problem. She was lovely, patient, and communicative- my son absolutely loved her and we will miss her so much!! I'd enthusiastically recommend her to any family. 

We highly recommend Marilyn. She is an amazing nanny and assistant who is professional and trustworthy. 

We would have loved to have Marilyn stay, but due to unforeseen circumstances, schedules did not align and we regretfully had to search for another caregiver.  I would recommend Marilyn without hesitation, and am envious of the lucky family who will have her as their nanny.

It is my pleasure to recommend Marilyn H. as a nanny. I know Marilyn since 2009. She began taking care of my friends granddaughter (now 5) since she was 6 weeks old and over the course of her employment became a household manager and assistant with my friends business schedule. His wife is partly disabled but prepares meals and Marilyn has been a treasure to help in the kitchen and cleanup. She worked full time usually around 40 hours a week. Marilyn also did light housework, ran errands and took my friends granddaughter N. to appointments and outings. Marilyn has become a part of his  family; N. adores her and she will be irreplaceable. Marilyn is extremely reliable. If my friends wife and he were both out of town she would house sit. She is very trustworthy. She was always patient and keeps her cool. She is very professional and knowledgeable about child care. She always respected N. but helped teach her to be organized with her toys and well mannered. I highly recommend Marilyn with full confidence. She is an outstanding nanny and provides quality care. In addition, as a good friend, she is kind and caring who respect others value and time. Marilyn began as a nanny to our granddaughter and an assistant to my wife and me. We both have disabilities and raising an active girl would have been a challenge without her help. She has been a great assistant, running errands and even helping me with my business calendar and my wife's doctor appointments . She has been indispensable as a Personal Assistant and a valued caregiver.. Very professional. I highly recommend her.
