About Marilou

Marilou has been our full-time nanny for over four years, but our children have grown older and our family’s needs have changed. Marilou has been such an important part of our family for the past four-plus years. She's a very warm person who clearly loves children and takes her job as a nanny seriously. Marilou has cared for our four-year-old since he was an infant, as well as our nine-year-old since he was four. Both kids adore her and give her hugs goodbye at the end of each day. Marilou’s duties changed over the years as the kids grew and included (at various times) caring for and playing with the kids, preparing their meals, preparing bottles and starting solids, doing school pickups, arranging playdates, doing their laundry (and ours), and cleaning and tidying the house. She has also been very flexible about staying late when needed, which has been especially helpful given the nature of our work. Marilou is a U.S. citizen, has her own car, and has experience with kids of all ages, including infants, where she truly thrives. She also knows the area well and has been good at arranging playdates with other families or bringing the kids to the park or library. We're sad to part ways with Marilou, but we want her to find a great full-time job with a nice family.
