About Maria

Gabriela was my au pair for a year. She cared for my son, who was about 16 months old when she came. She is very responsible and was great with my son. She taught him Spanish and many things. She did my son’s laundry, made his meals, made his bed, and arranged his toys. She didn't bathe him because I preferred to do it. She is very patient and good at coming up with solutions, particularly when the child prefers to be with the parent. I work from home, and that can be challenging for a child care provider. She stayed Monday-Friday and left for the weekends. She always came back by 10 p.m. on Sundays. She is a very mature and respectful housemate. I have recommended Gabriela to many of my friends, and I believe she babysits for most of them. If she lived closer to me, she would most certainly be my nanny or backup babysitter. She is also the only nanny I have had who I allowed to care for my son overnight. I really can't say enough about her and can tell you that, as difficult as it is to find quality and trustworthy childcare, I would hire her immediately. It doesn't get better than her.
