About Maria

Hello! I am a caregiver who specializes in personal care for individuals in their own homes. I am very passionate about providing the elderly the option of staying in their own homes as long as they wish, as opposed to nursing homes. I am equally passionate about supporting families who wish to keep their elderly loved ones home with them but need help and assistance in order to do so. My experience has continually been with those suffering from dementia. I worked with an elderly gentleman for 4 months this summer. I was in charge of waking, feeding, administrating medicine, assisting in all day to day activities such as brushing teeth and seeing that he has showered. I have also worked with an elderly woman with dementia. I would help her with dressing, do light housework, and make meals. With each individual I work with, I always provide joyful companionship, continually plan and execute fun things for us to do, and generally keeping everyone safe and supported.
