About Maria

I'd describe my personality as upbeat, creative and flexible. I like working with kids because it's incredible rewarding to be part of their development, to be there for those "ah-ha" moments. I'm looking for a job with full time hours, either four or five days a week. I have experience with ages 1-5 years, but my expertise is children ages 2-3. I started working with kids when I was in high school, nannying after school. I stopped working in childcare when I was in college, then worked in a preschool from October 2022 to December 2023. In my spare time, I like to read, do various arts and crafts (painting, sketching, clay), cook (I specialize in cheese-oriented meals), watch comedy movies, and play with my cats. My skills include creative problem solving/redirection, developmentally beneficial activities, and fostering childhood independence/self-care.
