I have had the joy of being a nanny for a family for 5 years while I was in college finishing up my degree. I cared for an infant and a 1-year-old and watched them grow up right before my eyes. Although I've always loved children, that experience changed me and allowed me to see first hand how any interaction with a child is a special one. It creates a small bond and allows you to receive the joy of caring for a little one! Currently I nanny a 6-month-old infant part time while I'm back in school trying to get my law degree. While school is mentally draining some days, being able to have a little break with the children I care for is honestly a time I look forward to. I have the privilege of being able to connect with a child and being able to create a quick bond with them. I know how nerve wrecking it can be to leave your child with someone else and it's not a responsibility I take lightly.
