I am an experienced childcare professional looking for a part time position after graduating with my Yale MFA in Acting, but worked as the Learning and Development Manager and Teacher for an early childhood program. I graduated from Northwestern, where I studied Psychology and Theatre. I have taken classes and professional development courses in early childhood development, ServSafe Food Handling and Preparation, CPR/First Aid and Infant CPR/FA, and also specialize in educational materials for inclusive practices in early childhood. I have over 7 years of experience with children under six, primarily infants. COVID Vaccinated. I'm a working actor and found this works best with families with at least one secondary caregiver who can step in if I have to cancel. If that's not your situation, please know I will always give you at least a 48 hour notice (but will typically be at least 5-7 days), and will never charge for hours not worked by me. Mariah is our current babysitter and she is hands down all that I could have asked for. She is very punctual, communicates very efficiently, pro-active and just all around good with my children. I feel very comfortable with her being our sitter and will be really sad when she moves! She is very good with multiple children, always coming up with creative activities for their ages, attentive and warm! I would highly recommend Mariah as a sitter and wish we could keep her!
