About Maria

Maria was absolutely amazing with our 2 year old boy. He was immediately attached to her because of how loving, affectionate, and engaged she always was with him. She was never on her phone and was always totally present with him. She took initiative by bringing her own toys on the first day and frequently brought a portable speaker to play music (and sing and dance with him). Another thing we appreciated about her was how she got him out of the house every day (sometimes twice) to go to the park or the public library. She knows a lot of other nannies in the San Jose area, and that helped our little guy meet other kiddos and socialize during park time. Another example - she organized a birthday party for our son at the park with all the other nanny friends and their kiddos. It was so incredibly sweet of her. On top of being wonderful with children, she was responsible and reliable. She showed up on time EVERY day. She only took one sick day during the entire time we employed her. She cleaned up after the kids and was always respectful of our house. Relative to other experienced nannies in the Bay Area, her rate was quite reasonable as well.  Maria speaks English fluently and had great communication with us. She's a native Spanish speaker so if you wanted someone to speak Spanish with your kid(s), she could do so.  When our son started preschool, it was extremely hard to say goodbye to Maria. We cannot recommend her enough!
