About Maria Eleni

Hi there! I'm Maria but people closest to me call me Marika. I am a friendly and outgoing middle school theatre teacher who is looking to work with seniors over the summer and possible transition into senior care full time. While it's true I have a ton of experience working with school age kids, growing up in a Greek family my grandparents were a huge part of our lives. We took care of, not only my immediate grandparents on both sides of the family, but also an elderly couple from church who had no children of their own. Growing up we took it for granted that our grandparents would be included in any and all of our activities. We always wanted them to feel loved and needed. As they grew older, in addition to living with us at different times, we took care of 5 of them while they were in hospice in our home. I have always gotten along well with seniors and would love the opportunity to give back to those older generations for all they have done for us.
