About Maria

I love working with children! I have been doing so on a freelance basis for over five years. As graphic designer and illustrator, kids love that I can do art with them and teach them new skills. I'm also fully bilingual (Spanish/English), so I can practice with or tutor your child with their Spanish. I have experience working with children with Down syndrome and I had a brother with Cerebral Palsy that helped take care of for many years. My friend would describe me as a patient, reliable woman who makes children feel welcome and creative! I'm looking for a job where I can work with children, provide a loving and supportive environment, and collaborate effectively with parents. In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and pets. Also I like cooking, traveling, trying new restaurants, painting, and visiting museums. One thing you should know about me is I have a master degree in graphic design from SCAD. My skills include empathy, problem solving, and teaching.
