About Maria

Hi, my name is Maria! I am an organized, responsible, and fun-loving person with ample experience working with kids of all ages. I think it is incredibly important to always provide kids with a positive, supportive environment where they can learn and have fun! I have a Master's in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. I am a first grade teacher during the school year and am available for the summer! I am experienced with behavior management and child development. I have been a babysitter for about 15 years. I also previously worked as a camp counselor and lifeguard at a sleep-away camp for children with special medical needs (ages 7-17), and was trained in regards to various medical conditions and physical and mental disabilities. I look forward to working with families in Hampton Roads!
