About Margaret

Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. As a Certified teacher with over 30 years of experience, I specialize in supporting elementary students in Math and English. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, and my goal is to foster a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. Most of my experience is in grades Kindergarten up to grade three. I am trained in a phonics program called Fundations and also certified as a Reading Teacher. Elementary math skills in many curriculum areas are a strength as well. Assessment through active listening and observation, adapting my approach with visual aids, hands-on activities, or guided discussions. When concepts become challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect lessons to personal interests. It is very rewarding watching a student's confidence soar as they master a new skill. I truly look foward to helping your child grow and succeed.
