About Margaret

Hello. My name is Margaret and I am offering my experience as a classroom tutor, outside of the classroom. I work as a substitute in the resource room for children needing extra help in math, s science, social studies, and all subjects. It is unique in that it is a k- 12 school, so I have experience working with all ages and subjects. I also substitute for teachers aides, providing one on one and small group assistance with reading, writing, and math. I also work part time in the after school program, developing fun games and activities to supplement what kids are learning in school. I believe in relating the subject matter to the practicalities of real life, and always helping the student understand why he or she is learning the subject matter. I also work with special needs kids in the school, so am familiar with different learning disabilities and can help adapt subject matter for success. Days and hours are flexible.
