About Mara

My passion for working with children began as a teenager. After coming to the United States, I took my first job caring for children. I continued helping families through after-school and live-in caregiving, caring for children while helping manage the household. When my son was born, I started my own business and opened a beauty salon. My customers began with children, followed by their parents, grandparents, and eventually the whole family. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, trust, and compassion. I'm reliable, honest, hardworking, energetic, and straightforward. I'm a doer and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I understand that little children may not have the words to explain what they need, so I pay attention to their behavior. I use positive reinforcement, teach good manners and kindness, and turn chores into fun. I'm a strong multitasker, especially with multiple children. My goal is to make life happier, easier, and smoother for the family.
