Hi my name is Maliyah I love empowering students to reach their full potential through personalized support. It's at the heart of my teaching practice. As a Certified teacher with experience in English, Science, History, and test preparation, I cultivate an engaging, patient environment where your child can thrive. I assess individual learning styles by observing how students interact with new material, then adapt my strategies--using visual aids, discussions, or hands-on practice--to meet their unique needs. When concepts feel challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect them to real-world interests to build momentum. I prioritize open communication with families to ensure we are a collaborative team. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student finally masters a difficult concept is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to helping your student grow, gain confidence, and discover a genuine love for learning.
