About Makena
Experience: 3 yrs
Hello, my name is Makena and I am an experienced tutor. I attended UC Santa Barbara where I graduated early with honors. I have BAs in Philosophy and Theater. I've studied a wide array of subjects and have experience in various educational areas: elementary school competitive math, 11 AP courses, SAT prep, labratory research, etc. I've tutored elementary school students in math and English at a center and digitally tutored high schoolers for the SAT. I've taken courses on teaching theater to children and have an academic engagement award for volunteering as a theater teacher at an elementary school in Santa Barbara. My availability is very flexible and can be worked around your schedule
