About Makayla

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience, I specialize in English, Science, Test Preparation, Music, Drama, and essential Study Skills for elementary and middle school learners. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I prioritize creating an engaging, patient environment tailored to your child's specific needs. By observing how your student interacts with new material, I adapt my methods--using visual aids, hands-on activities, or real-world examples--to ensure concepts truly click. I maintain open, consistent communication with parents to build a collaborative support system. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or a local center, my goal is to celebrate every small success along the way. I find immense joy in witnessing those "aha!" moments, and I look forward to helping your student discover their own path to academic confidence.
