About Makayla

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With two years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I help students develop critical thinking skills by breaking complex problems into manageable steps. I assess your child's unique learning style by observing how they interact with new material, then adapt my methods using visual aids, hands-on activities, or guided discussions. I prioritize open communication with both you and your student to ensure we remain a collaborative team. Whether we are working on English, test preparation, or creative subjects like art and music, I celebrate every small success to keep momentum high. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks is the most rewarding part of my work, and I look forward to supporting your child's growth.
