About Makayla

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary through high school students in Math and English, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning. I believe in moving beyond simple memorization to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By observing how you interact with new material, I tailor my methods--using visual aids, discussions, or hands-on practice--to fit your unique style. I keep you motivated by connecting complex concepts to your personal interests and celebrating every small victory. Clear, open communication with you and your family ensures we are always aligned on your goals. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks is why I love what I do. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and helping you succeed.
