About Maia

I grew up in a large family with many children. Being the oldest, I was responsible for keeping an eye on and entertaining them. As I got older I did a school program that had me help out at a mental rehabilitation center with children who had many different disorders. I had also helped my half sister out in her Sunday School class with a boy who had special needs; I adored him completely. I have babysat children anywhere from 5 months - 14 years old and am completely comfortable being alone with them. I took a Red Cross babysitter's certification course when I was younger, and have updated myself on proper CPR techniques. Caring for children has always been one of my passions and has even prompted me to look into more permanent child care jobs.
