About Maia

Hi! My name is Maia, I just moved to Oakland from SF to finish my degree at Cal State East Bay for Social Work and Art. I'm 23 years old and have worked with kids aged 4-15 in a camp setting from 2017 to 2021 in Los Angeles (where I'm from). I ran specialty camps such as fine arts and aquatics camp. Currently, I work in as a mental health counselor in SF and hope to work and finish school in the east bay. I'd describe my personality as energetic, creative, and compassionate. I like working with kids because I've always enjoyed their level of energy! I'm looking for a job that values safety and communication. I can do overnights but I'm mostly looking for recurring day jobs if possible. I started working with kids when I was 15 until I was 20. In my spare time, I like to paint in my studio or catch up on my homework. One thing you should know about me is I love to cook! My skills include leading enriching activities, ensuring safety, and patience when resolving conflicts.
