About Maggie

My name is Maggie T. and I am currently a kindergarten through first grade teacher. I am the curriculum coordinator and director of early childhood education. My prior experience to teaching included positions as a nanny, babysitter, and in pediatric occupational therapy. As a nanny and babysitter I was responsible for not only childcare but household tasks. I developed my skills in childcare, communication, organization, patience, time management, and safety. In these positions I was able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children to play, learn, and develop in areas related to emotional, social, and behavioral development. As a teacher and curriculum coordinator, I have developed my skills in creating and implementing lesson plans based on a project based and hands on activities. The activities created have been individualized for the unique student based on strengths and interests including behavioral plans to enhance social and emotional skills.
