About Maesen

Hi! I'm a Communication major at UW-Milwaukee, and I'd love to help elementary and middle school students with math, science, and English. I'm happy to help with homework, explain concepts in different ways, and help students build confidence in their schoolwork. I took advanced math classes in high school and understand how helpful it can be to have someone explain things at your own pace. I also played flute from 5th grade through senior year of high school, so I can help beginner students learn the basics of playing, reading music, and rhythm. I want to create a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace! I like tutoring because I love learning new things and find it fun to share what I know with others. I enjoy explaining things in ways that make them easier to understand, and I like being able to include details and examples that help things click.
