About Mackenzie

Hi! My name is Mackenzie, and I've been caring for children since I was 15 years old. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with children of all ages and abilities in both professional settings and private homes. My experience includes babysitting for multiple families, working as a full-time summer nanny, serving as a special education teaching assistant in an elementary school, and providing respite care for children with developmental and emotional needs. I also spent five years working with children with developmental disabilities. Several of the families I worked with trusted me enough to hire me privately to continue caring for their children in their homes, which is something I'm incredibly grateful for. In addition, I worked as a caseworker in a juvenile detention facility, where I developed strong communication, patience, and crisis management skills. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and encouraged.
