About Lucy

I'm a professional child care provider actively seeking formal employment (full-time W-2 position) with the right family. My last long-term position was for two children ages 4 and 5. One who is autistic and nonverbal. I implemented safety precautions for emergencies, adapted to abrupt physiological and emotional changes, coordinated and facilitated PT, OT, and speech appointments, and planned engaging outings and activities. I was with this family for six years, and only left to pursue a teaching position in Asia. Now back in the U. S., I'm currently providing part-time care for two families, working with infants and preschoolers (ages 7 mo., and 3-4 years). Being around kids all my life (my mother had a daycare) is what led me to this work. I believe children need positive, individualized care for their diverse needs, and structured routines to support emotional regulation. Families trust me to be reliable, empathetic and compassionate, and I look forward to collaborating with you.
