About Lucas

Teaching was an unexpected joy for me. It's about changing your perspective on your knowledge to show it to someone with a different brain. Students achieved success at school in specific subjects because of their learning patterns. In interacting with the student, you can learn which parts of the subject work in their brain. In computer science, it worked to connect the simpler ideas with analogies, and then work from there. While I haven't worked with younger students, I believe I can adapt to communicate with simpler ideas. Substitute teaching is an art, as it involves learning new lesson plans and implementing them quickly. I would be able to adapt to these challenges, as my best attribute is improvising. I can walk the line of keeping to the curriculum and flexibility based on classes.
