About Luanne

I have been a teaching artist and educator for 33 years and a camp director on an organic farm for 12 years. I am also a mother. I have worked with children of all ages, including gifted children and children with special needs. I have been a world traveler and have worked with children in various areas of the world, including areas in conflict. I have many skills and interests, including art, crafts, theater, circus, puppetry, music, reading, writing and storytelling. I also am interested in and passionate about the environment, nature, and animals and love to be outdoors. I enjoy cooking and baking, and teaching children the importance of healthy nutrition. I actively engage children in a variety of activities that encourage them to discover and explore their interests, to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills, and to help them gain appropriate levels of independence through learning basic life skills. I am happy to help with homework and special school projects.
