About Louise

I am 52, and a mother of two. I lived in Brazil for 30 years, where I taught English to children ages 4-12. I managed two large households, and am familiar with the rhythm and demands required. I have been back in DC since 2021, babysitting for my brother's three children (now ages 5, 11 and 12), and caring for my elderly mother. I'd describe my personality as flexible, responsible and fun, while valuing structure and routines. I genuinely enjoy being with children of all ages, including infants. I like cooking, and am happy to help in the kitchen as needed. I completed a Summer course in childhood music education (Orff-Schulwerk) at FSU in 2001. Non-smoker, own vehicle, pet-friendly, vaccinated. I did lifeguard training in the early 90's, which included CPR and first aid. Willing to re-certify.
